Undergraduate
UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM
The undergraduate program, which offers a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, aims to meet the need for undergraduate computer engineers in industry and higher education. In this program; Emphasis is placed on the main areas of Computer Science and Engineering such as computer science, programming languages, information systems, computer architecture, design and algorithm analysis, software engineering theory.
This program ensures that graduates have knowledge of the following major engineering topics:
Probability and statistics,
Maths,
basic sciences,
Engineering and engineering sciences necessary for the design and analysis of complex electrical and electronic devices,
Software, and hardware components that include software
Theoretical computer science.
This is done with the following strategies:
In the first year, two courses are given on derivative and integral calculus. Additionally, 5 mathematics courses are given: probability and statistics, linner algebra and differential equations.
Our curriculum includes the following courses to enable our students to be proficient in the design of complex electronic devices: Electrical circuits for Computer Engineering (EEM-102), Digital Design (BMÜ-231), and Computer Architecture (BMÜ-455). Students are also encouraged to increase their knowledge on electronics by taking elective courses on these subjects.
By teaching courses on Compilers Design (BMÜ-454), Computer Networks (BMÜ332), operating systems (BMÜ314), Computer Organization and Design (BMÜ-234), and Database Systems (BMÜ-329), our students will be able to use systems that include both hardware and software. Have knowledge about analysis and design. Programming Languages (BMÜ-325), Software Engineering (BMÜ326) and Algorithm Analysis (BMÜ-316) courses focus on software systems.
Discrete Structures for Computer Science (BMÜ-241) and Digital Design (BMÜ-231) courses, which are required to be taken in the second year, provide the basis for theoretical computer science.
Students who meet the requirements of the university and the department are given the title of Computer Engineer.
