Purpose:
The Internship Committee is responsible for the planning, execution, evaluation, and supervision of the internship process to ensure that students gain professional knowledge, skills, and experience.
1. Defining Internship Guidelines and Criteria:
To determine the department’s internship principles in accordance with the university’s internship regulations, make necessary updates, and announce them to students.
2. Internship Application Process:
To evaluate internship applications submitted by students, approve their eligibility, and ensure that internship placements are relevant to the department’s field.
3. Creating an Internship Calendar:
To establish an academic calendar covering internship applications, approvals, evaluations, and report submission processes, and to publish it on the department website.
4. Internship Evaluation Process:
To review students’ internship notebooks, workplace evaluation forms, and reports to confirm or, if necessary, reject the validity of the internships.
5. Supervision of Internship Institutions:
To contact internship institutions when necessary for monitoring and evaluation, and to improve collaboration with these organizations.
6. Ensuring Educational Compatibility:
To ensure that internships are aligned with theoretical courses and that students achieve meaningful professional gains.
7. Information and Guidance:
To inform students about internship procedures, guide them in finding internship opportunities, and collaborate with the career center.
8. Developing Institutional Cooperation:
To establish relationships with industry, government, and private sectors to provide students with suitable and high-quality internship opportunities.
9. Resolving Internship-Related Objections and Issues:
To evaluate and provide solutions for any objections, complaints, or problems raised by students or institutions.
