Purpose:
The purpose of this committee is to effectively promote the department's academic, scientific, and social activities on digital platforms; to contribute to effective communication with both internal stakeholders (students, faculty members) and external stakeholders (prospective students, alumni, industry representatives) through information technologies.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Web and Social Media Management:
Keep the department's website content up to date, sharing news and announcements on time.
Promote the department's activities through effective use of social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, etc.).
Preparation of Visual and Promotional Materials:
Prepare or update department promotional brochures, posters, videos, and presentation materials.
Ensure graphic design, content language, and target audience compatibility in promotional materials.
Event Promotion and Announcements:
Promote academic and social events such as conferences, seminars, internship presentations, and student projects.
Share pre-event announcements and post-event news content.
Prospective Student Promotion:
Provide support in the digital promotion of the department during university or faculty promotional events.
Create and share informative content for prospective students (frequently asked questions, alumni success stories, student club activities).
Suggestions for Improving Information Technology Infrastructure:
Offer suggestions for improving the department's digital visibility and accessibility through software, web interfaces, and content management systems.
Request technical support from IT departments when necessary.
Feedback and Improvement:
Evaluate feedback from stakeholders regarding digital communication and promotion.
Continuously update sharing strategies and content structures based on feedback.
