Main Objective:
To develop the department's national and international academic collaborations, support student and academic mobility, and conduct course equivalency processes within the scope of horizontal/vertical transfer and exchange programs in a fair, transparent, and academically compliant manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Development of International Cooperation
- To explore and develop academic collaboration opportunities with universities abroad.
- bilateral agreements ( MoUs , Erasmus agreements, etc.).
- To carry out infrastructure work for joint education programs (double degree, joint degree, etc.).
- To contribute to departmental strategy by following international rankings and best practices.
2. Academic Cooperation with National Universities
- To encourage the development of joint courses, projects, and academic activities with other universities in Türkiye.
- Academic evaluation of inter-institutional horizontal transfer processes.
- To examine and contribute to standardization of course equivalencies at the national level.
3. Student Exchange Programs ( Erasmus , Farabi, Mevlana, etc.)
- Evaluating the academic suitability of students who will participate in exchange programs.
- To examine whether the courses to be taken at the universities to be attended are suitable for the departmental program.
- To academically approve students' learning agreements .
- Managing the recognition and grade conversion processes for courses taken after the exchange program.
4. Course Adaptation and Equivalency Processes
- To evaluate the course equivalencies of students transferring horizontally or vertically.
- To determine the equivalence of courses taken from universities both in Turkey and abroad.
- Analyzing the alignment of credits, ECTS credits, and learning outcomes by reviewing course syllabuses .
- To create adaptation decisions in a transparent and documented manner.
5. Grade Conversion and Academic Adaptation
- To establish grade conversion principles for students coming from different grading systems.
- Developing departmental policies by examining international grading systems.
- Providing guidance during academic adjustment processes (adaptation, course load balancing, etc.)
6. Academic Mobility and Faculty Collaborations
- To encourage national and international mobility of teaching staff.
- visiting lecturer to contribute to scholar processes
- Supporting the development of joint research and training activities.
7. Information and Guidance Activities
- To inform students about exchange programs and adaptation processes.
- Preparing guidance documents and manuals related to the processes.
- Creating explanatory documentation for frequently encountered problems.
8. Digitalization and Process Management
- To support the digital implementation of adaptation and evaluation processes.
- To systematize the application, evaluation, and decision-making processes.
- To ensure data records are organized and accessible.
9. Quality Assurance and Standardization
- Establishing quality standards in adaptation and cooperation processes.
- Developing consistent decision-making mechanisms for similar applications.
- To ensure that processes are regularly reviewed and improved.
10. Reporting and Monitoring
- Preparing regular reports on the adaptation processes and exchange programs that have been carried out.
- Analyzing student mobility statistics
- To evaluate the effectiveness of collaborations and offer suggestions for improvement.
