Porpose:
The purpose of this committee is to ensure the continuous improvement of engineering programs, the effective operation of the quality assurance system, and to monitor, evaluate, and enhance the program outcomes in line with the MÜDEK (Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs) criteria.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
Defining and Monitoring Program Outcomes:
Ensure that learning outcomes suitable for MÜDEK are defined at the department/program level.
Collect feedback from students, alumni, faculty, and stakeholders at the end of each academic year to analyze the level of achievement of the outcomes.
Course-Outcome Alignment:
Regularly review and update the relationship between all courses and program outcomes.
Determine the contribution levels of courses (1-2-3) and ensure course syllabi are in compliance with MÜDEK format.
Assessment and Evaluation Processes:
Define both direct and indirect assessment tools to measure program outcomes.
Conduct periodic evaluations using course-based success analyses, student surveys, alumni and employer feedback, etc.
Continuous Improvement:
Develop improvement suggestions for courses, programs, and teaching methods based on the collected assessment and evaluation data.
Support these improvements with documentation to contribute to the MÜDEK process.
Documentation and Reporting:
Contribute to the preparation of self-assessment reports required for the MÜDEK evaluation process.
Ensure regular documentation of committee activities, improvement efforts, and decisions made.
Awareness and Information:
Raise awareness about MÜDEK criteria and quality assurance among faculty members and students.
Organize necessary training and information sessions.
