Main Objective:
To ensure quality assurance in engineering education, to guarantee the program's compliance with MÜDEK accreditation criteria , to systematize measurement and evaluation processes, and to institutionalize a culture of continuous improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Planning and Management of Accreditation Processes
- To develop a strategic plan for the MÜDEK accreditation process.
- To create the accreditation calendar and coordinate the processes.
- Preparing self-assessment reports (Self- Study Report)
- To conduct accreditation application, interim evaluation, and recaccreditation processes.
- Monitoring updates to MÜDEK criteria and integrating them into the program.
2. Program Outcomes and Learning Objectives Management
- To define and update the program's educational objectives (PEA).
- To ensure that program outcomes (PO) are identified and made measurable.
- To establish the relationship between course learning outcomes and program outcomes.
- Developing performance indicators for measuring outputs.
3. Establishment of the Measurement and Evaluation System
- Developing direct and indirect measurement methods for measuring program outcomes.
- Systematizing tools such as exams, assignments, projects, laboratory work, and final projects.
- Creating and standardizing evaluation criteria ( rubrics )
- To regularly collect and analyze measurement results.
4. Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting
- course- based and program-based performance data.
- Analyzing student achievement rates, graduation times, and course performance.
- Presenting the collected data in regular reports.
- Adopting a data-driven approach in decision-making processes.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Feedback Processes
- Holding regular meetings with internal stakeholders (students, academic staff, administrative staff)
- Developing collaborations with external stakeholders (alumni, employers, industry representatives, public institutions)
- an advisory board and hold periodic meetings.
- Conducting stakeholder surveys (alumni, employer, student satisfaction, etc.)
- Analyzing the collected feedback and integrating it into training processes.
Continuous Improvement Improvement )
- Identifying improvement actions based on measurement and evaluation results.
- Monitoring the implementation of the decisions made.
- Actively operating the “Plan – Do – Check – Act (PDCA)” cycle.
- Documenting and sustaining improvement activities.
7. Course and Program Monitoring Processes
- Course -based evaluation reports ( course assessment (report ) to prepare
- Conducting outcome contribution analyses for each course.
- Identifying critical lessons and implementing specific remedial programs.
- To evaluate the overall performance of the program on an annual basis.
8. Documentation and Evidence Management
- Organizing and archiving all documents required for accreditation.
- course files ( syllabuses , exam papers , assignments, etc.)
- Establishing a digital evidence management system.
- To ensure traceability of all processes.
9. Accreditation Visits and Preparation Process
- Preparing for MÜDEK evaluation team visits.
- To inform academic and administrative staff about the process.
- Preparing for student and alumni interviews.
- Ensuring that physical and digital environments are ready.
10. Education and Awareness Activities
- To provide training to academic staff on measurement, evaluation, and accreditation issues.
- To provide orientation for newly appointed faculty members.
- To raise students' awareness of program outcomes and quality processes.
11. National and International Benchmarking
- Examining accredited programs of other universities
- Analyzing best practice examples
- Developing strategies to increase the competitiveness of the department
12. Digitalization and System Integration
- Moving measurement and evaluation processes to digital platforms.
- Using data management and analytics tools
- To ensure integration with automation systems.
13. Reporting and Corporate Communication
- Preparing annual quality and accreditation activity reports.
- To provide regular updates to the department, faculty, and university administration.
- Sharing accreditation results and improvement efforts with stakeholders.
14. Risk Management and Sustainability
- Identifying risks to the accreditation process.
- Taking preventive measures for potential deficiencies.
- Ensuring the sustainability of quality processes.
