Fırat University Among the Best Global Universities in Engineering

The U.S.-based information and news publisher U.S. News announced its 2018 Best Global Universities Rankings. Universities were ranked based on 13 criteria, including global and regional research reputation, publications, books, conference proceedings, citations, and international collaborations.

In the 2018 rankings, the number of higher education institutions listed increased from 1,000 to 1,250, and the number of countries represented rose from 65 to 74. Consequently, the number of Turkish universities included in the rankings increased from 20 to 30. Among these, Fırat University achieved significant success, ranking 400th globally and 6th in Turkey in the field of engineering.

In its evaluation of universities in the field of engineering, U.S. News highlighted that the universities listed are leaders in producing research on various engineering topics and that these institutions represent the best universities for engineering in Turkey.

With a score of 42.2, Fırat University ranked 6th in Turkey in engineering, earning recognition for its achievements.

The Rector of Fırat University, Prof. Dr. Kutbeddin Demirdağ, expressed his satisfaction with the university’s success in engineering, emphasizing their continuous efforts to excel in all fields. He congratulated everyone who contributed to this success and expressed his pride in the university’s global and national accomplishments.
